We have been based in Little Wenlock for some time having moved from Wem to a more suitable workshop! Although we are trading in a difficult economic climate we are pleased to announce that due to demand and our growing work force we are being forced to move again this time to a larger premise.
We applied for change of use on a large agricultural building back in October 2010 but although Telford and Wrekin Council should have given us a formal decision on our application before 2010 came to an end we did in fact not get the councils go ahead until March 2011. (A word of warning to those requiring planning permission; my advice would have to be to get your application in with the council as soon as possible as I suspect that the process could get slower due to government cuts. Please don’t forget that Severn Oak would be delighted to help with planning applications if you need us!) We are now in contact with the electricity board so that we can install the correct phase of electricity required to run our machinery.
